Celebrating Traditions
Rural rodeos are an important way for us to celebrate our Western heritage. Whether you are gathering at the local arena this summer to watch your kids in a fun gymkhana or, you call a sitter so you can take in the rodeo finals and cabaret one evening, these events are a popular meeting place. And, if you don’t have a hometown rodeo, chances are there’s one taking place not too far away.
We’re honoured to support rodeos at all levels, with special attention to grassroots events. This July brings us to the middle of the season and from Lethbridge to Grande Prairie and Dawson Creek to Weyburn, our goal is to support more than 80 rodeos by the end of 2023.
“The fast-paced action and social side of rodeos is always exciting, and I believe a true focal point for the community that everyone looks forward to annually. This is how many rural kids grow up, living and breathing the real-life ranch work on the farm that rodeo events originate from,” says Kimberly MacDonald, Manager, Community Investment.
It’s important for UFA to be part of these traditions and celebrate rural living.

We’re always thrilled to see the UFA logo on a flag being carried proudly around the arena, on a chute or covering a barrel. And, like you, we love cheering on the up-and-coming athletes and professionals alike!
